The Clean Combo’s clean sound is very tight “n” twangy, with a deep, taut,
piano-like bass. When pushed hard the bass tends to crumble. The original amp
doesn’t have a Presence control but does have a Bright Switch. The Presence con-
trol on your SV-1 emulates this switch when “off ” and “on,” plus all points in-
between!
Original’s tube compliment: 2 x 12AX7s & 2 x 7025s & 2 x 12AT7s (a.k.a.
ECC81) in the preamp, 4 x 6L6s in the power amp.

ALIFORNIA
)
This was a blackface guitar amplifier made in Southern California during the
early ’60s. Its 45 Watts into 4 x 10" speakers earned it a shimmering tone. This
amp’s medium output and powerful sound was a favorite in clubs.
Original’s tube compliment: 4 x 12AX7 in the preamp, 1 x 5AR4 rectifier tube, 2
x 6L6 tubes in the power amp, plus 2 x 12AT7 tubes.
