HI 98143 is a panel mounted pH/EC transmitter specially
designed for long distance measurement of pH and Electrical
Conductivity in industrial applications.
The pH and EC signals are transmitted through two wires.
Inputs are isolated to avoid any interference with the
receiving device.
Probes connectors, power supply, contacts and calibration
trimmers are easy to reach directly on the front panel.
For in-line applications the pH electrode should be HI1001
and conductivity probe should be HI3001. HI1001 is a
combined double junction pH electrode with BNC and 3 m
(10’) cable. HI3001 is a 4-ring conductivity probe with
platinum sensors and internal temperature sensor to com-
pensate reading for temperature changes. Both the probes
have external threads for easy installation in continuous
flow-thru monitoring, either in-line or tank applications.
They can resist up to 80 C (176 F) and 6 bar (87 psi).
The
HI 98143 is supplied with a differential input. An HI
1283 stainless steel probe to prevent potential grounding
problems can be connected thus ensuring longer life for your
electrode.
Measurements are accurate and the meter can be cali-
brated at one or two points.

HI 98143 may be wall-mounted at any convenient
location close to the measurement site. To minimize
thermal drifts due to extreme temperature fluctuations,
particularly if measurements are conducted outdoors, it
is recommended that the transmitter is protected in a
casing.
