Using the cassette
Recording from a CD/ audio fi le
Insert a disc or a USB device.

  Insert a blank cassette tape into the tape deck.

  Press the desired source button to select the 
source you want to record from.
For CD/ audio fi le-CD : Press CD/USB [CD/USB
button to select CD input.
For USB device : Press CD/USB [CD/USB] button to 
select USB input.

  To record all the tracks/fi les:
Stop playback.
 
To record a single track/fi le:
Play the track/fi le to be recorded.

  Press TAPE REC [TAPE rec] button to set the unit 
into recording standby mode.
The icon “TAPE REC” appears on the display.

  Press FWD PLAY 
3/8 [3/8] or RVS PLAY 2/8 
[
2/8] button to begin recording.
The icon “SYNC” appears on the display.
•  To ensure good system performance, wait until the unit 
completely reads the disc/USB device before recording.
•  To temporarily pause the recording, press FWD PLAY 
3/8 
[
3/8] or RVS PLAY 2/8 [2/8] button. Press it again to 
resume recording.
•  To end recording, press 
7 [7 stop] button.
•  During recording, it is not possible to listen to another source.
Program recording from a CD/ audio fi le
Desired CD tracks/ audio fi le can be programmed in 
the desired sequence and recorded onto a tape.
Insert a disc or a USB device.

  Insert a blank cassette tape into the tape deck.

  Press the desired source button to select the 
source you want to record from.
For CD/ audio fi le-CD : Press CD/USB [CD/USB
button to select CD input.
For USB device : Press CD/USB [CD/USB] button to 
select USB input.

  Make sure that the unit is in stop mode.
Playing a cassette tape

  Press TAPE mode [TAPE mode] button to TAPE.

  Press the area marked [push open] to open the 
cassette tape door.

  Insert cassette tape into the compartment with 
the open edge facing down.

  Close the door securely.

  Press TAPE mode [TAPE mode] button to select 
the desired reverse mode.
  icon : plays both sides and stops.
  icon : plays both sides endlessly.
  icon :  plays only one side of the tape and 
stops.

 Press 
SEARCH/TUNING 
4 or ¢ [4 or ¢ 
search +/–] button to move tape to the desired 
starting point.

  Press FWD PLAY 
3/8 [3/8] or RVS PLAY 2/8 
[
2/8] button to begin playing the tape. 
Recording on a cassette tape
You can record from a radio, a CD, a audio fi le, or a 
iPod. 
For the best recording, use a normal bias tape (Type 
1 only).
Recording from a radio

  Insert a cassette tape into the tape 
compartment and close the door.

  Press TUNER band [TUNER band] button to 
TUNER and select a radio station.

  Press TAPE REC [TAPE rec] button to set the unit 
into recording standby mode.
The icon “TAPE REC” appears on the display.

  Press FWD PLAY 
3/8 [3/8] or RVS PLAY 2/8 
[
2/8] button to begin recording.
•  To end recording, press 
7 [7 stop] button.
•  To temporarily pause the recording, press FWD PLAY 
3/8

resume recording.
