KN-304 Quick Configuration Guide   

● Purpose of this Guide

This Quick Configuration Guide provides a concise description of the required setup procedures for using the

KN-304.  Please refer to the “Konica KN-304 Network Board User Guide” contained on the CD-ROM for more

detailed information.  Separate user’s manuals are provided for the printer and printer controller (“Konica 7020

Instruction Manual” and “Konica IP-011 Printer Controller User Guide”).  In addition, always make sure to read

the Readme. txt file of the softwares on the CD-ROM provided.  Please refer to the respective manuals for

detailed operating procedures of Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or NT, Novell NetWare and other applications.

Konica 7020 printer, IP-011 printer controller, KN-304 network board system and this Configuration guide.

■ Network Setup Procedure

Several setup and preparation steps are required to print using the KN-304.  The contents of these setup and

preparation steps vary according to the environment in which the KN-304 is used.

■ When using in an environment consisting of Windows 95/98 only:

Refer to pages 4 and 5.

■ When using in an environment consisting of Windows NT and Windows 95/98:

Refer to pages 6 and 7.

■ When using in an environment consisting of Windows 95/98 and NetWare:

Refer to pages 8 and 9.

■ When using the “MAP” setup utility:

Refer to pages 10 and 11.
