Special Consideration for Updating the Control
System

This special consideration only applies to early production CNMSX units. These early
units cannot be updated directly without updating an intermediary Monitor ROM first.
If the CNMSX being updated has a Monitor ROM prior to v2.05 (this includes
Monitor ROM 5.01.35 and lower), a dialog box shown below appears when
attempting to update the control system.

One can avoid jumping into the updating process by checking if the CNMSX has
v2.05 or later (or v5.01.35 or later). Simply reboot the CNMSX while in Viewport.
Cycle the power, depress the HW-R button on the front panel, or select Functions |

Viewport Message
If the CNMSX has an early Monitor ROM, update the CNMSX by first using the
50135x.upz file from the Crestron website (OPSYS Library). This UPZ file has no
TCP/IP stack, so the checkbox for the TCP/IP stack is unavailable (grayed out).

Finally, update to the latest UPZ file as listed in the OPSYS Library. The specific
steps are provided in "Updating the Control System" on page 31.
