REAR MUD GUARD INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WITHOUT FENDER FLARES
Please read instructions thoroughly before installation.
Tools Required:
 
Short #2 Phillips screwdriver
 
1/8”, 3/8” drill bits / Drill
 
Center punch and marking utensil
Package Contents:
 
Driver & passenger side rear mud guards
 
#10 screw (qty. 4)
 
Spring clip (qty. 2)
 
Instruction sheet
NOTE:   It may be necessary to remove the rear wheels depending on the tools being used for installation.
1.  Clean and degrease the mud guard location area on the rear fender of the vehicle before installation.
2.  When installing mud guards on a truck, drill 3/8” hole at location D on the mud guard and remove fender support fastener from vehicle
(Figure 2). NOTE: Suburbans, Tahoes, and Yukons do not have a fender support rod.
3.  Using mud guards as a template, mark location B on fender, center punch, drill 1/8” hole, and fasten mud guard to rear fender with a #10
screw (Figure 1).  Check fit and alignment before tightening.
4.  Center punch, drill 1/8” hole at location A and fasten with #10 screws.
5.  Install Spring Clip at location C (Figure 2 & 3).
6.  For truck installation replace fender support fastener.
 PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
1.    Clean mud guard with a soap and water solution to remove dirt and other contaminates.                                                                                 2.    Sand
painting surface with 320 grit sand paper.
3.    Apply a coating of flexible primer-adhesion promoter.
4.    Apply a flexible paint as directed by the paint manufacturer
