The TS2230 has a storage capacity of up to 800 GB (with
2:1 compression) when used with an LTO Ultrium 400 GB
data cartridge, which is twice the capacity of Ultrium 2 tech-
nology. Along with its higher capacity, the performance of the
TS2230 Tape Drive has more than doubled compared to the
previous generation of half-height LTO drives on the market,
with a native data transfer rate of up to 80 MB/sec. The
TS2230 Tape Drive provides an excellent alternative to
slower and smaller capacity 1/4-inch, 4 mm and 8 mm
digital linear tape (DLT or SDLT) drives.

Model H3V has a 6 Gbps Serial Attached SCSI (SAS)
interface that enables connection to a wide spectrum of open
system servers. In addition to reading and writing to
LTO Ultrium 3 tape cartridges, the TS2230 can read and
write to LTO Ultrium 2 cartridges and can read LTO
Ultrium 1 cartridges.
