Pentax DA 15mm F4 ED AL Limited Operating Guide

The lenses in the table below are equipped with an internal supersonic motor. When
mounted on a camera body that supports supersonic motors, the autofocus (AF) works
quietly and smoothly.

If the 

 firmware is version 1.30 or later, it supports supersonic motor. (Refer to page 11)

* In both cases focusing can be done manually.

• The lens uses a supersonic motor. When the lens

is mounted on a camera body that does not

support supersonic motors (including the 

with firmware older than version 1.30), the

autofocus cannot be operated by either the AF

motor in the camera body or the supersonic motor.

• If using the lens with the following cameras, and

the power is turned on, MF appears in the monitor,

but it does not interfere with AF operations.

When the lens is mounted on a camera body that 

does not support supersonic motors (including the 

 with firmware older than version 1.30), the 

autofocus is operated by the AF motor in the 

camera body.
