 Focus and Shutter (Drive Mode) Settings
Taking Pictures with Manual Focus
Use this function when you want to fix the focus or when the distance between the lens 
and the subject is determined and you do not want to activate Auto Focus.

Set the focus mode lever to [MF].

Press [
].
Press the function button to which [AF Mode/MF] in [Fn 
Button Set] 
 has been assigned. (assigned to 
[
]/[Fn3] at the time of purchase)

Press 3/4/2/1 to determine the area to be 
enlarged, and press [MENU/SET].
The assist screen is displayed, enlarging the area. (MF 
Assist) 
Applicable modes: 
The operations used to focus manually differ depending on the lens.
When using the interchangeable lens 
(H-HS12035/H-FS14140) having a focus 
ring
When using the interchangeable lens 
having a focus lever
Rotate to A side:
Focuses on nearby 
subject
Rotate to B side:
Focuses on 
faraway subject
Move to C side:
Focuses on nearby 
subject
Move to D side:
Focuses on 
faraway subject
The focusing speed varies depending on how 
far you move the focus lever.
When using an interchangeable lens with no focus ring
Press 2: Focuses on close-up subjects
Press 1: Focuses on distant subjects
A Slide bar
These operations are possible only on the focus 
adjustment screen.
Pressing and holding 2/1 will increase the focus 
speed.
Focus can also be adjusted by dragging the slide 
bar.
