Problem
Cause & Solution
I cannot hear a dial tone.
R The telephone line cord is connected to the [EXT] socket on the unit.
Connect to the [LINE] socket (page 22).
R If you use a splitter/coupler to connect the unit, remove the splitter/coupler
and connect the unit to the wall socket directly. If the unit operates properly,
check the splitter/coupler.
R Disconnect the unit from the telephone line and connect a known working
telephone. If the working telephone operates properly, contact our service
personnel to have the unit repaired. If the working telephone does not
operate properly, contact your telephone company.
R The power cord or telephone line cord is not connected. Check the

I cannot save the data to a
USB memory device.
R There is no USB memory device inserted in the unit. Insert a supported USB
R The USB memory device is write-protected. Release the write protection.

R The USB memory device may be faulty. Using a computer, check that the
device can be read and written to normally.
R There is not enough space to save new files on the USB memory device.
Delete unnecessary files, and try again.
