9. Useful Information

Caution for the lower input tray

Do not drop the lower input tray.

Hold the lower input tray with both hands when
removing or installing. The lower input tray
weighs approximately 4.8 kg when fully loaded
with recording paper.
Do not touch the plate (

1) on the left side of the

lower input tray.

Do not position the unit in a location where it is
unstable or subject to vibrations. The unit weighs
approximately 35 kg when the lower input tray is
installed and fully loaded with recording paper.

9.5 Setting the lower input tray

To use the lower input tray with your computer, proceed
as follows.

Start]

Open the printer window.

For Windows 98/Windows Me/Windows 2000:

Settings] i [Printers]

For Windows XP Professional:

[

Printers and Faxes]

For Windows XP Home:

[

Control Panel] i [Printers and Other

Hardware] i [Printers and Faxes]

For Windows Vista:

[

Control Panel] i [Printers]

Select the unit’s name.

For Windows 98/Windows Me/Windows
2000/Windows XP:

Select [Properties] from the [File] menu.

The printer properties window will appear.

For Windows Vista:

Select [Properties] from the [Organize] menu.

The printer properties window will appear.

Click [Auto Configuration] on the [Device] tab.
i [OK]

The lower input tray will be automatically
detected.

For [Number of Input Tray], [2] will be
selected.

If the setting is not changed automatically, change it
manually.
