Browser
Your phone includes a full-featured web browser that allows you to view web pages, manage bookmarks,
download pictures and files, etc.
Note
A data plan is required to access the Internet when using your operator’s mobile network. Contact
your mobile network operator regarding data plans and rates.
Additional charges may be incurred for accessing the Internet or downloading media files from the
Internet while connected to the mobile network. Contact your mobile network operator for more
information.
Browsing the web
Viewing a web page
1.
Tap [Browser] in the Home screen or app list.
2.
Enter the web address in the address bar and then tap [Go].
Searching for a web page
1.
Tap [Browser] in the Home screen or app list.
2.
Enter the search text in the address bar and then tap [Go].
You can also tap   next to the address bar and speak the desired search text.
If the address bar is not displayed, flick down (scroll up) to display it.
Note
You can also search for a web page directly from the Home screen by using the Google Search
widget. You can add the widget to your Home screen if necessary
(“Adding an item in the app list to the Home screen” (page 13)).
Viewing a previously viewed web page
1.
Tap [Browser] in the Home screen or app list.
2.
Tap 
 
® [Bookmarks].
3.
Select the desired tab and browse for the desired web page.
You can browse your bookmarks, browsing history, and saved web pages.
Viewing a web page privately
You can use the [Browser] app’s “incognito tab” feature to browse privately. When using an incognito tab
to browse the web, search history is not retained, and the web sites you visit are not retained in the browsing
history once you close the incognito tab. Note that any files you download will be retained.

Tap [Browser] in the Home screen or app list.
2.
Tap 
 
®   ® [New incognito tab].
3.
Search for or access the desired web page.
Navigating web pages
Zooming in and out on a web page while browsing
Using two fingers, “pinch” together two points on the touch panel screen to zoom out, and push apart two
points on the touch panel screen to zoom in. You can also zoom in and out by double-tapping.
