Google Play
Google Play is an online service where you can buy apps and other content. You can use the [Play
Store]
 app to purchase and download Google Play content.
Note
A Google account and Internet access are required to use [Play Store].
For more information about using Google Play and the [Play Store] app, tap 
 
® [Help].
Google Play and certain service content may not be available in certain regions.
Google Play and the [Play Store] app were previously named “Android Market” and “Market”,
respectively.
Payment options
Google Play purchases are handled by Google Wallet. Google Wallet is an online payment processing
service that provides services such as protection from credit card fraud and information about your
purchase history.
Note
Paid content may not be available in certain regions.
Direct carrier billing may also be available depending on your mobile operator and region.
Finding and downloading apps
Downloading an app
1.
Tap [Play Store] in the Home screen or app list.
2.
Search for the app that you want to download by looking through the various categories or using the
search function.
3.
Tap the app to see more information about it.
4.
Follow the on-screen instructions to download and/or purchase the app.
An additional screen is displayed that informs you what the selected app can access if it needs to
access data or control functions on your phone. Read this information carefully because it may
dramatically change the performance and functionality of your phone.
5.
If the app is a paid app, select the desired payment method to complete the purchase.
Note
You are responsible for the apps you download and the results of using downloaded apps on the
phone.
Some apps may connect to the Internet automatically and send or receive data. You may incur data
transmission charges when the phone is using its mobile network connection to access the Internet.
App management
Clearing all data for an app
You can clear the data for an app. This may be necessary if the app’s memory becomes full, or if you want
to delete incoming email, text, or other messages in an app, or clear a game’s high scores.
1.
From the Home screen, tap 
 
® [Settings].
2.
Tap [Apps] and then select the desired app.
3.
Tap [Clear data] 
® [OK].
