Confirmation of PCMCIA Controller
Operation
To ensure that the PCMCIA Controller in Windows 98 is running in 32-bit mode, please follow these instructions:-
NB
DO NOT have the Interface Card inserted in the computer's card slot at this stage.
(1) Turn on your computer.
Windows 98 automatically starts.
(2) Click Start, point to "Settings" and then click "Control Panel".
(3) Double-click the PC Card (PCMCIA) icon.
(3) Double-click the PC Card (PCMCIA) icon.
Either (A) the "PC Card (PCMCIA) Wizard" or (B) the "PC Card (PCMCIA) Properties"
window will appear.

(A) If the "PC Card (PCMCIA) Wizard" window appears

The PCMCIA controller is not running in 32-bit mode, therefore you will need to install the 32-bit driver.
Follow the steps below to install the 32-bit mode Windows driver.
(1) Select "No" and then click Next >.
(2) Select "No" and then click Next >.
(3) Click Finish.

The "System Settings Change" window appears.
(4) Click Yes to exit Windows 98.
The computer will be turned off.
(5) Turn on your computer, restart Windows 98.
