: The video recorder's display unit is off. In Power save mode, 
  you cannot change the VCR display setting.
  To control an external appliance via AV2 Scart socket, 
  the VCR first needs to be switched on.

DIMMED : The video recorder's display is dimmed.

: The video recorder's display unit is on at normal brightness.

: For S-VHS format recordings on a S-VHS type cassette.

: For VHS format recordings on a S-VHS type cassette.

: Takes recordings at a higher picture quality on VHS-HG 
  cassettes.

: Takes standard quality recordings.
