Cisco
NM-1FE2W

NM-2FE2W
 Network Modules for the Cisco
3600 and 3700 Series Multiservice Routers

 announces the end of life of the Cisco® NM-1FE2W and NM-2FE2W network
modules. The last day to order the Cisco NM-1FE2W and NM-2FE2W network modules is
December 31, 2003. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical
Assistance Center (TAC) until December 31, 2008. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones,
definitions, and dates for the Cisco NM-1FE2W and NM-2FE2W network modules.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco NM-1FE2W-V2 and NM-2FE2W-V2. These
newer LAN/WIN mixed media network modules are identical to the NM-1FE2W and NM-2FE2W
in terms of features, functions, and performance with the important difference being the limited
number of Cisco IOS
®
 Software releases supported. Table 3 provides relevant information for
migrating from the Cisco NM-1FE2W and NM-2FE2W network modules to the Cisco
NM-1FE2W-V2 and NM-2FE2W-V2 network modules.
The NM-1FE1R2W and NM-2W are not affected by this end-of-sale and end-of-life announcement.
