Product Migration Options
The recommended replacements for the Cisco 3640 are the Cisco 3700 Series Routers. On an interim basis, we will
make the 3640A available as an alternative for customers with configurations that are not yet supported on the 3700.
Refer to table 2 for details.
The Cisco 3700 Multiservice Access Routers are based on the same modular concepts but enable dramatically higher
levels of application and service integration in enterprise branch offices.  With on-board LAN/WAN connectivity,
new high density service modules, and support for multiple Advanced Integration modules (AIMs), the Cisco 3700
delivers new levels of branch office service density in a compact form factor.

For equipment and software that is not covered by
a service-and-support contract, this is the last date
to order a new service-and-support contract or add

for the product. The extension or renewal period
cannot extend beyond the last date of support.

The last date to receive service and support for the
product. After this date, all support services for the
product are unavailable, and the product becomes
