Product Bulletin No. 1660
Cisco 1750
 Modular Access Router
End-of-Sale
 Announcement
This Product Bulletin serves as the formal
notification of the End of Sales (EoS), End
of Engineering, and End of Life (EoL) for
Cisco 1750, Cisco 1750-2V, and Cisco
1750-4V router models along with
associated spares and bundles. The
replacement product is the Cisco 1751
Modular Access Router.
 All Cisco 1750
customers are advised to transition to the
Cisco 1751, which offers new features,
higher performance, and twice the default
memory for the same price (see Table 1 for
Cisco 1750 and Cisco 1751 feature
comparisons). Table 2 lists Cisco 1750
SKUs affected by the End-of-Sale
announcement. Key dates for EOS/EOL are
detailed in Table 3. The replacement
products are detailed in Table 4.
The Cisco 1750 has won many industry
awards and had offered a platform to
converge voice and data networks for small
and medium-sized business (SMB) and
enterprise small branch office customers.
The introduction of the Cisco 1751 has
taken the successes of the Cisco 1750 to
the next level, leading to the EOS of the
Cisco 1750 platform. Reasons for this
action include:
• Customers have demonstrated clear
preference for Cisco 1751 since its
introduction, leading to a dramatic
decrease in Cisco 1750 sales
• New Cisco IOS
®
 images with voice
features will require memory beyond
the maximum available memory
• Manufacturers are discontinuing some
components used in the Cisco 1750
The Cisco 1751, introduced in May 2001,
delivers new features, higher performance,
and more memory at the same price as
the Cisco 1750. Table 1 details the
advantages of the Cisco 1751 platform.
