FACTORY KICK PANEL REMOVAL:   DRIVER & PASSENGER Side:

        Pull the factory kick panel and threshold away from the metal bulkhead releasing snap clips.

       Make sure all of the snap clips are removed from the metal bulkhead.

Note: Always check the fit of the Q-Forms panel in the vehicle BEFORE any cutting or modifications are done!

SPEAKER INSTALLATION:

Cut the speaker holes in the Q-Forms before installing the panels in the vehicle.  Using a hole saw of

the correct size, position the pilot drill on the dimple at the center of the speaker mounting surface.  Be careful

as the hole saw exits the rear of the panel.  Install speaker wiring and crossover network as per manufacture’s

instructions.  Install tweeters as per manufacture’s instructions.  Install midrange drivers after Q-Forms panels

have been installed in the vehicle.

FACTORY KICKPANEL MODIFICATION:

You will need to cut the threshold portion of the factory kick panel off and save for re-installation into

the vehicle later.  With the factory kick panels on a workbench measure from back edge of threshold

panel 24.75” (two door and four door model) and make a mark.  Using a square draw a straight line

across the threshold panel.  Cut the panel at the line you just made and check the fit in the vehicle.  It

may be necessary to cut a little more off.  You will also need to remove the ribbing on the bottom of the

panel about 1.25” back from the edge you just cut to allow the threshold panel to set flat against the

kick panel.  Clean and straighten the edge with a file.  It may be helpful to use some 400-grit sandpaper

or a plastic deburring tool to give the cut edge a nice finished look. Repeat process on both factory kick

panels.

Q-FORMS KICKPANEL INSTALLATION:

DRIVER’S Side:

     Lay the Q-Forms kick panel into place in the approximate location and connect the speaker wiring.  Install

the kick panel into the permanent position previously held by the original kick panel.  Be sure that the front edge

of the panel fits tightly against the rubber door seal.  While applying firm pressure to the kick panel install the

supplied #8x.5” pan head sheet metal screw into the hole at the top front edge of the panel. There is no need to

pre-drill a hole since the screw only threads into the rubber molding. Re-install the factory threshold panel that

was cut from the factory kick panel along the bottom of the door opening.  Slide the threshold panel tightly

against the bottom edge of the Q-forms panel and snap back into place. Using the predrilled hole toward the

top and the rear of the panel as a guide and while pressing the kick panel firmly into the carpet pre-drill a 1/8”

hole into the metal behind the panel.  Be careful when drilling to avoid wiring behind panel.
