Flash Modes
When insufficient flash output for correct exposure is 
indicated
•  When the flash-ready indicators on 
the SB-5000 and in the camera’s 
viewfinder flash slowly for approx. 
3 seconds after firing, underexposure 
due to insufficient flash output may 
have occurred.
•  To compensate, use a wider aperture 
(smaller f-number) or higher ISO 
sensitivity, or move the flash unit 
closer to the subject and reshoot.
•  Amount of underexposure due to 
insufficient flash output is indicated 
by the exposure value (−0.3 EV to 
−3.0 EV) on the SB-5000’s LCD panel 
for approx. 3 seconds.
•  Exposure value can also be confirmed 
in   menu (0B-11).
