Setup / Video Hardware Configuration
Make sure the TV / Secondary output is “powered on”. Make other relevant changes
(video format for instance); these settings can be accessed by clicking in the “TV” bar.
Close the window. The “Settings” tab should now look like this when you click in the
window numbered “2”:

Make sure the “Extend my Windows desktop…” checkbox on the bottom left is
checked. In fact, this configures your desktop so that it is spanned over the two dis-
plays. A normal user will use the “regular” (left) part while AwoX Services will make
use of the “additional” (right) part.
Close the window. Try dragging a window to the edge of your normal display: you
should see a part of it appearing on the secondary display. If this is the case, your setup
is OK.
2.3.2
Having mediaCTRL Center recognize your new hardware
Reboot the machine. mediaCTRL Center should detect the secondary output automati-
cally and display the banner on it. If this is not the case, please refer to “Troubleshoot-
ing”.
