The
LCS-C842SC is the solution for converting your media from copper to fiber optics. The converter
is enhanced with Link Fault Signaling (LFS) and Loopback Test (LBK) functions to offer the most
comprehensive network status monitoring and connection diagnostics. It is designed for large
workgroups who demand higher speed and wider bandwidth. It allows migration and expansion from a
copper-based Ethernet to a fiber optic Fast Ethernet up to 30Km.

Link Fault Signaliung:
LFS LED will immediately light to indicate when a cable has been severed or
when some other cause of disruption in service has occurred. The LFS function monitors both copper
and fiber segments giving a total connection status report.
