What is the Escort Key?
The Escort Key temporarily disarms a WatchMate Monitor to allow
you to escort one or more residents through a protected area with-
out triggering an alarm. The Escort Key can also be used to clear an
alarm.
Note: The ID and MR Monitor must be confi gured to use an Escort
Key. Ask your Authorized Dealer for assistance.
Escorting Residents
1
Enter the protected area. If the resident is with you make sure
that the door is closed or an alarm will result.
2
Press the button on the Escort Key once (the green light will fl ash
to indicate that the Escort Key is operating).
Caution:  Once the protected area has been temporarily
disarmed, other monitored residents may pass through
undetected. The Escort Key should only be used when
exits are under continuous staff supervision.

the actual disarm times of the Monitors in your facility.

before the Monitor rearms.

You may now escort the resident through the protected area.
Clearing an Alarm
1
Investigate the cause of the alarm. Locate the resident and make
sure he or she is safe.

2
Escort all monitored residents away from the protected area.
3
While inside the protected area, press the button on the Escort
Key to clear the alarm. The Monitor will automatically rearm.
Low Battery Indication
The Watchlet low battery alert feature in the Monitor can be used to
provide early warning of falling battery power in the Escort Key.
1
Enter the protected area, and press and hold the button on the
Escort Key.

2
If the Escort Key has a low battery: the ID or MR Monitor dis-
plays the message Tx: Low Batt, and the LC Monitor emits an
intermittent beeping sound.
The Escort Key may continue to work for some time with a low bat-
tery. The battery cannot be replaced. To order a replacement Escort
Key, contact your Authorized Dealer.
