Services allowing subscribers to view or block the telephone numbers of

EMS (Enhanced Message Service) 
Network service sending and receiving messages that include images, 
sounds and animations to and from another user without having to speak to 
the correspondent. 
 
GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) 
New non-voice value-added service that allows information to be sent and 
received across a mobile telephone network. GPRS guaranties continuous 
connection to the Internet for mobile phone and computer users. It is based 
on the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) circuit-switched 
cellular phone connections and the Short Message Service (SMS). 
 
GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) 
International standard for cellular communication, guaranteeing 
compatibility between the various network operators. GSM covers most 
European countries and many other parts of the world. 
 
Multiparty Calling 
Ability to establish a conference call involving up to five additional parties. 
 
PIN (Personal Identification Number) 
Security code that protects the phone/SIM against unauthorized use. The 
PIN is supplied by the service provider with the SIM card. It may be a four 
to eight-digit number and can be changed, as required. 
 
PUK (PIN Unblocking Key) 
Security code used to unlock the phone when an incorrect PIN has been 
entered three times in succession. The eight-digit number is supplied by 
the service provider with the SIM card. 
 
Roaming 
Use of your phone when you are outside your home area (when travelling 
for example). 
 
SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) 
Card containing a chip with all the information required to operate the 
phone (network and memory information, as well as the subscriber’s 
personal data).
