Voice annunciation
Your radio may be programmed to play a pre-
recorded message for the start-up channel, when 
changing a channel, for the battery condition, or when 
loneworker monitoring has been turned on or off.
Two low-
pitched beeps
Radio’s temperature is high: The radio’s 
temperature is in the high-temperature 
range, but the radio will continue 
to operate.
Two high-
pitched beeps
Radio’s temperature is very high: The 
radio’s temperature is in the very high 
temperature range and all transmissions 
will now be at low power; if the radio’s 
temperature rises outside this range, 
transmissions will be inhibited. Turn off 
the radio and allow it to cool down.
Continuous 
low-pitched 
tone
Radio system error: A system error has 
occurred and the radio may be inoperable. 
Contact your radio provider.
Two long high-
low pitched
 
tone pairs
Synthesizer is out-of-lock: The radio’s 
synthesizer is out-of-lock on the current 
channel and you cannot operate on that 
channel
 
(Out of Lock appears on the 
display).
