◎ When an earphone (commercially available) is connected 
to the product, sounds from the earphone can be heard 
instead of sounds emitted by the Direct Wave Receiver.
 
◎ Do not put a sticker, sheet, etc. on the display. The other 
party’s voices may become hard to hear.
 
◎ How well sounds can be heard may differ among 
individuals.
 
◎ How well sounds can be heard may differ depending on the 
surrounding environment.
Using the au Micro IC Card (LTE)
au Micro IC Card (LTE)
The au Micro IC Card (LTE) records your personal 
information such as phone numbers.
The product is compatible with au Micro IC Card (LTE) 
only. You cannot use the product by inserting the au 
IC-Card or micro au IC-Card for au phones and 
smartphones instead.

◎ Make sure to unplug the microUSB plug of the common AC 
adapter 04 (sold separately) etc. from the product when 
attaching or removing the au Micro IC Card (LTE).
 
◎ Do not insert an au Nano IC Card (LTE) with an adapter 
attached. Doing so may cause a fault.
 
■ When the au Micro IC Card (LTE) is not 
inserted
If the au Micro IC Card (LTE) is not inserted, the 
following operations are unavailable.
 
• Making
*
/Receiving a call
 
• Sending/Receiving a mail
 
• Confirming your own phone number/own mail 
address
 
• Setting UIM card lock
*  Making an emergency call to 110 (Police), 119 (Fire and Ambulance) and 
118 (Regional Coast Guard) and making a call to 157 (Customer Service 
Center) are also unavailable.
Besides the above, functions which requires your 
phone number etc. may not be available.
Attaching the au Micro IC Card (LTE)
Before attaching the au Micro IC Card (LTE), turn the 
product off.
  Open the au Micro IC Card (LTE)/microSD 
memory card cover.
