Learn Mode Pendant Panic Sensor Installation 
Instructions 
Product summary 
The Learn Mode™ Pendant Panic Sensor (60-452) is a 
supervised, wireless device designed to be used throughout 
the installation site. The sensor can be worn around the neck 
with a removable cord (included) or on the user’s belt with an 
optional leather belt holster.

How it works 
The sensor contains a transmitter and a “PUSH” activation 
button. No switches or external wiring is required. An alarm is 
activated by pressing the “PUSH” button, located on the end of 
the sensor. 
The sensor transmits a supervisory signal every 64 minutes. 
When the sensor battery voltage is low, a low battery (trouble) 
report is sent to the panel. The sensor has an estimated 
battery life of one year. 
Programming and installation guidelines 
• 
Try to keep sensors within 100 ft. of the panel. The 100 
foot distance recommendation is given as a starting guide 
line. The actual sensor range is determined during testing. 
• 
Do not expose the sensor to excessive moisture or high 
humidity. 
• 
To allow users to take the sensor off-site without the panel 
reporting a supervisory or failure condition, program the 
sensor into an unsupervised sensor group. 
Programming 
The following steps describe the general guidelines for 
programming (learning) the sensor into panel memory. Refer to 
the specific panel documentation for complete programming 
details. 
1.  Set the panel to program mode. 
2.  Proceed to LEARN SENSORS menu. 
3.  Select the appropriate sensor group number (00 through 
07). 
4.  Select sensor number assignment. 
5.  When prompted by the panel to trip the sensor activate the 
sensor by pressing the “PUSH” button on the pendant. 
6.  Exit program mode. 
Testing 
The following steps describe the general guidelines for 
performing a dealer sensor test. Refer to the specific panel 
documentation for complete testing details. 
1.  Use the panel touchpad to enter the dealer sensor test 
mode. 
2.  Press the “PUSH” button on the sensor to activate it. 
3.  Listen for the appropriate siren response as described in 
the panel documentation. 
4.  Test the sensor from several locations within the premises 
to check for consistent response.
