The battery icon displays the level of battery power remaining. There are four segments in the icon. If you only have 

one segment left, make sure you have a new battery available.

Low battery 

The current time of day is displayed across the top of the LCD screen in the format you select 12 – hour or 24 – hour. 

The AM or PM is only displayed for the 12 – hour format. For instructions on setting the time on your PDM, see “Set 

the time and date” in “How to use the PDM”.
