a proven RAID algorithm developed for the
MegaRAID SCSI products. The intelligent six-port
MegaRAID SATA 150-6 offers powerful RAID
functionality for servers, workstations and network
storage environments.  Only the MegaRAID
SATA 150-6 provides performance and features
comparable to SCSI RAID, such as battery
backup support at a fraction of the price.

Maximizing Serial ATA Potential
The MegaRAID SATA 150-6 offers powerful
performance up to 150MB/sec per channel
and total throughput up to 528MB/sec. Only
LSI Logic provides an enterprise-level “building
block” SATA RAID solution that allows six or
more drives under a combined operating system
drive — giving exceptional data transfer speed
and data storage capacity.

Intelligent MegaRAID Serial ATA
As the industry’s premier high-performance,
low-cost RAID solution, the MegaRAID SATA
150-6 offers an integrated I/O processor with
a built-in hardware XOR engine for RAID parity.
In addition to enhancing performance, the
intelligent MegaRAID SATA 150-6 also
provides many fault tolerance features including
S.M.A.R.T support, drive hot swapping, and
automatic hot sparing and drive reconstruction.
With this powerful set of features, the MegaRAID
SATA 150-6 protects your system against
downtime and data loss while maximizing
performance.

Battery Backup of Crucial Data
Support for an optional Battery Backup Unit
(sold separately) provides extra data security in
the event of a complete AC power failure or
short power outage.  The MegaRAID SATA
150-6 Battery Backup Unit (LSIBBU01) ensures
that the MegaRAID controller will save all the
data present at the time of failure and that
power-on recovery times are expedited after
the event.

Dynamic Management Utilities
The MegaRAID SATA 150-6 management
software suite consists of a complete set of tools
including BIOS-embedded CTRL-M, character-
based MegaManager, and the graphically
powered Power Console Plus (PCP).  These
software utilities provide the capability to
configure, manage, and monitor MegaRAID
SATA 150-6 adapters, physical drives, and
logical drives.
