Backing up the Font Vault
To back up your Font Vault, copy it to a network location or external disk, or burn a copy to a CD or DVD.
NOTE: The Font Vault is a folder. To ensure the integrity of your font files, do not modify its contents.

1.
Choose Suitcase Fusion 4 > Preferences.
2.
Click the
Type Core
icon in the
Preferences window.
3.
Select the path showing the font vault location, then choose Suitcase Fusion 4 > Services > Reveal.
On Mac OS X v10.5, choose
Suitcase Fusion 4 > Services > Finder > Reveal.

Click the Stop FMCore button in the Preferences window. In the warning dialog, click Stop FMCore.
Suitcase Fusion 4 will exit.

Mac OS X (Including OS X 10.7 Lion);
•
Microsoft Office X, 2004, 2008, and 2011;
•
Adobe InDesign 2.0, 3.0 (CS), CS2, CS3, CS4, CS5, and CS 5.5;
•
Adobe Illustrator CS3, CS4, CS5, and CS 5.1 (included in Creative Suite 5.5);
•
Adobe Acrobat 8, 9, and X;
•
Adobe Reader 8, 9, and X;
•
QuarkXPress 7, 8, and 9.
To clean your font caches:
1.
Quit all other applications.
2.
Launch Suitcase Fusion 4.
3.
Choose File > Clean Font Caches.
4.
Click Clean and Restart.
5.
When prompted, enter your system password and click OK.
Suitcase Fusion will delete all the font cache files for the OS and the applications you have installed, then restart
your computer.
