Projection Screen Mounting Kits for TorkStar
Draper offers the following seven projection screens for use with the TorkStar system: Targa, Premier, Paragon, Signature®/Series V, Cineperm, 
Truss Cineperm, 
and Onyx. The appropriate mounting kit below is REQUIRED when using a projection screen with the TorkStar system .

Required for screens (except the Truss Cineperm) with a case length over 220” .  When a Projection Screen Batten is required it MUST be 
supplied by Draper (see Projection Screen Batten pricing and requirements below) .

be provided in two equal sections and require a Splice Kit .

 Use of Large Case Targa and Large Case Premier screens with TorkStar requires specially modified 
cases . DO NOT use TorkStar with standard versions of these screens .

 Use of Onyx screens with TorkStar requires the Onyx Corner Reinforcement Kit (Part No . 253696) . 
3
 Projection Screen Batten MUST be supplied by Draper and MUST be 24" longer than screen case or 
frame . If over 20' (240") long, a Projection Screen Batten Splice Kit is required (see price above) . If a 
Splice Kit is required, the two equal sections of Projection Screen Batten will be factory pre-drilled 
to receive the Splice Kit in the field . Completed splice must be located at the center point of the 
Projection Screen Batten ." 
Guidelines for use of projection screens with TorkStar
All motorized screens with case lengths over 220” MUST USE ALL of the following:
1 . A Projection Screen Batten (MUST be supplied by Draper)—2 .5” O .D . by minimum of 13 gauge steel tube .
2 . The specific projection screen Cable Batten Kit
3 . The Projection Screen Batten Splice Kit
4 . A minimum of two (2) PosiSpools if using a TS1000 Motor Winch or a minimum of three (3) 
PosiSpools if using a TS1400 Motor . 
All Truss Cineperms over 220” wide MUST USE the following:
1 . A Truss Cineperm Direct Cable Kit or Truss Cineperm Cable Batten Kit .
2 . If using a Cable Batten Kit, the Projection Screen Batten is required and MUST be supplied by 
Draper . It MUST be 24" longer than Truss Cineperm frame .
3 . If using the Cable Batten Kit, the Projection Screen Batten Splice Kit MUST also be used .
4 . A minimum of two (2) PosiSpools if using the TS1000 Motor Winch or a minimum of three (3) PosiSpools if using the TS1400 Motor .
