Engineering 
What makes MSE unique in the recharging industry is the engineering based product development 
process; and the verification of benchmark standards (based on OEM comparison), using 
international quality assurance methods throughout the manufacturing process. 

Long before an MSE cartridge is released to production, an exhaustive process of analysis is 
performed on every aspect of the cartridge: transfer rates, toner characteristics, signal voltage 
resistance, and several electromechanical operations within the cartridge must be observed in order 
to determine anomalies in use or performance under various end-user conditions. Subtle changes in 
contact surface pressures of the doctor blade or recovery blade can have dramatic affects on print 
quality that may not become apparent until a cartridge is well into it’s second life cycle. Sealing 
methods (including the main seal) and all the locations in and around the toner storage and 
delivery system must maintain containment integrity for the expected life/yield of the 
remanufactured cartridge. This process must be cost-effective yet robust and repeatable in a high 
volume manufacturing environment.
