13.3  Protection Control for All Operations 
13.3.1.1 
Time delay safety control 
•  The compressor does not restart for 3 minutes after stop of compressor. 
 
13.3.1.2 
Total running current control 
•  When the air conditioner has been operated at the capacity designated by the indoor unit and the total running 
current exceeds setting I1, the operating frequency of the compressor is reduced. Conversely, when the total 
current drops below setting I1, it is increased (but only up to the capacity designated by the indoor unit). 
•  The compressor is stopped as soon as the total current exceeds setting I2. 
•  If the compressor is stop by the total running current control on 3 occasions in a 20-minutes period, the “F98” 
error is displayed.

IPM (Power transistor) prevention control 
Overheating prevention control 
•  The compressor is stopped when the overheating protection circuit inside the IPM has been activated. It restarts 
after 3 minutes. 
•  Activation temperature: 110°C  
Reset temperature: 95°C 
 
DC peak current control 
 
•  When the inverter load current (DC peak current) exceeds the setting value (22.5A), the compressor is stopped 
immediately. If this happens within 30 seconds after it started operating, it will restart one minute later; if it 
happens after 30 seconds have elapsed since it started operating, it will restart 3 minutes later. 
•  If the DC peak current exceeds the setting value on 7 consecutive occasions within 30 seconds after the 
compressor started operating, the “F99” error is displayed, and the unit operation is stopped. 
 
13.3.1.4 Compressor 
Overheating Prevention Control 
•  When the compressor discharge temperature exceeds 105°C, compressor frequency control (including
