Using HDBaseT technology, the SDX DVI extender is capable of sending a DVI-D signal up to 400 feet over a single conventional
and inexpensive CAT5/5e/6 cable. HDBaseT technology is superior to older DVI extenders that require a special CAT6 sheilded
cable to go a short distance. The SDX also has RS-232 and IR extension, giving users the ability to control displays
or devices remotely.
