Fujitsu PRIMERGY PCIe-SSD ioDrive2
Accelerate the performance of I/O intensive applications and workloads
Main Features
Benefits

„
Superior IO performance (275,000 Read IOPS / 800,000 Write IOPS),
high read (up to 1.5 GB/s) and write (up to 1.3 GB/s) performance.

„
Minimized application latency to deliver groundbreaking
improvements to computing performance, while greatly reducing
hardware infrastructure, maintenance and floor space.

„
365GB, 785GB and 1.2TB capacity with Multi Level Cell (MLC)
technology in a low profile PCIe form factor with full height (FH)
and low profile (LP) bracket.

„
Advanced storage device using solid state storage technology
directly on the PCI bus, assuring high read and write data rates.

„
Very low latency access to data which is ideal suited in use cases
such as fast access to database log-files and reports, hypervisor
running a large number of virtual machines or virtual desktop
infrastructure solution.

„
Positive impact on business results and the ability to make
decisions quickly, resulting in significant cost and time savings.

„
NAND technology with multi-level cell (MLC) flash memory to store
data.

„
PRIMERGY PCIe-SSD provides faster performance and higher
reliability than standard hard disk drives with rapid response in
scenarios where output is needed in seconds or less.
A solid-state drive (SSD) is a data storage device
with outstanding performance that uses solid-
state memory to store persistent data with the
intention of providing fast access in the same
manner of traditional hard disk drives. Solid
State Storage Technology can provide customer
benefits in several different areas and with
different architecture implementations. It offers
high performance and reliability with no moving
parts, low power requirements and improved
environmental tolerance. SSD technology
benefits are best realized with latency- sensitive
environments for both read- and write- intensive
workloads.
PRIMERGY PCIe-SSD ioDrive2
The PRIMERGY PCIe-SSD is part of Fujitsu’s wide
solid state storage portfolio. This storage device
is targeted for customer scenarios and workloads
requiring high transaction rates and real-time
data access that will benefit from application
performance enhancement. With performance
comparable to DRAM and storage capacity on
par with hard disks, Fujitsu PRIMERGY PCIe-SSD
increases performance so that every server can
contain internal storage that exceeds the I/O
performance of an enterprise SAN environment. As
an I/O card, the PRIMERGY PCIe-SSD is not a typical
SSD drive, because it is attached directly on the
PCI Express slot of the server and offers extremely
low latency and high bandwidth. The card is
also developed to provide high I/O operations
per second and almost symmetrical read / write
performance. The PCIe-SSD is available in a
standard low-profile PCIe form factor for PRIMERGY
RX200, RX300, RX500, RX600 and RX900 rack
servers.
