For its 70th birthday, the French company Elipson had to conceive an exceptional pro-
duct: the 4260, commercial version of the 42XX Concept shown in the last Las Vegas CES,
is born.

Inspired by the design of the famous 4050 model from the seventies, which was used in the
French radio and TV studios, this speaker is the flagship of Elipson products.

The subwoofer rigidity was obtained using the most sophisticated measurement and si-
mulation tools, resulting in internal reinforcements where every parameter is optimized.
The chassis of the 38 cm speaker was also stabilized by adding an open frame, applying
pressure through vibration absorbers. An internal resonator neutralizes the main resonance
frequency of the box. A special treatment has been applied to the vent in order to reduce
distortion in the 3rd harmonic. Its large size avoids airflow noises. The up to 75 mm thick box
is totally inert and vibration free.
