Scenario 2: Table 18 shows a solution for 100 users with voicemail and full-feature hardware redundancy with 

software subscription. 

Solution for 100 Users with Voicemail and Hardware Redundancy with Software Subscription 

●  100 employees 
●  100 Cisco Unified IP Phone 8961G endpoints 
●  100 Cisco Jabber MAC clients and Jabber Mobile Clients iPhone for each user; use IM and Presence server 

for presence on premises 

●  Voicemail and unified messaging for 100 users 
●  Full redundancy 
●  Software subscription 

The following example provides the most cost-effective way to meet these customer requirements. Because 
UCSS is required and all users require multiple Cisco Jabber Clients, we can use UWL licenses. 

Line 1: Order 2 BE 6000 server bundles for hardware redundancy (for a new system): 

 

BE6K-ST-BDK-K9= at $9,400, quantity 2 

Line 2: Order a secondary power supply. It is optional, but Cisco recommends that you have a 
 

secondary power supply: 

 

UCSC-PSU-650W at $630, quantity: 2 

Line 3: Order software licenses under top-level SKU R-CBE6K-K9. 

 

3.1 Order the software UWL starter bundle (required for BE 6000 new system orders). It includes a Standard 

 

 

25 UWL license that should cover 25 users using Cisco Unified IP Phone 8961G phones, voicemail, and 

 

 

all Jabber Clients: 

 

BE6K-START-UWL25 at $1000, quantity 1 

 

3.2 The rest of the 75 users still need UWL licenses to be able to use Cisco Unified IP Phone 8961G 

 

 

phones, voicemail, and Cisco Jabber Clients: 

 

BE6K-UWL-BE at $315, quantity 75 

 

3.3 The R-CBE6K-K9 SKU requires that you select a software version. It is a 0 dollar SKU:

3.4 Select your IM and Presense choice as on Prem because the IM and Presense server will be used:

3.5 You must select the Cisco Jabber Clients option for all 100 users. You must select both Jabber Mobile

3.6 You must order UCSS services with BE 6000 UWL:

An upgrade involves changing the Cisco Business Edition 600

0 Software on a customer’s existing server to a more 

recent version of Cisco Business Edition 6000 Software. 

Two upgrade options are available for customers who do not have valid and active UCSS contracts: 

● 

Upgrade with UCSS (also called a 9 x 3 upgrade): This option allows you to obtain the media kits and 

licenses for software upgrades to Cisco Business Edition 6000. This option is also called the 9 x 3 upgrade 

because the offer costs $9 per user and includes upgrades and software subscriptions for 3 years. The offer 

requires UCSS for 3 years or more, and the configuration tool will enforce mandatory selection of UCSS for 

these upgrade part numbers. 

● 

Upgrade without UCSS: This option allows you to obtain the upgrade media kits and license but does not 

require UCSS. 

Note:   Please add the software upgrade SKU as a separate line item. It should include only software upgrade 
SKUs, but you can have mulitple items in this line.
