The water tank is empty

Fill the water tank with fresh water.

A fault has occurred in the 
machine and hot water,
steam or espresso cannot be 
dispensed.

Turn the machine off  after 30-seconds, turn it 
back on.
Try this 2 or 3 times.
If the machine does NOT start, contact the 
Philips Saeco hotline.

Connect the machine to the electric

Coff ee is not hot enough.

The cups are cold.

Preheat the cups with hot water.

The drip tray gets fi lled al-
though no water is drained.

Sometimes water is drained auto-
matically by the machine into the 
drip tray in order to manage the 
rinsing of the circuits and ensure 
optimum machine performance.

This is seen as normal behavior of 
the machine.

The fast fl ashing red 

 light 

is always displayed on the 
machine.

The coff ee grounds drawer was 
emptied with the machine off .

The coff ee grounds drawer must 
always be emptied with the machine 
on. Wait until the red 

 light starts 

blinking more slowly before refi tting 
the drawer.

No hot water or steam is 
dispensed.

The hole of the steam wand is 
clogged.

Clean the hole of the steam wand 
using a pin.

Cappuccinatore is dirty (if sup-
plied).

Clean the Cappuccinatore.
