Installation/Configuration Notes
Installation
The Carephone 10 is easy to install. It is connected to the
telephone network with a telephone plug and is supplied
with power through an adapter. If power failure occurs, a
rechargeable battery supplies the carephone with power
for at least 72 hours. Programming is done locally or
remotely from a PC with a programming unit.
Installation is performed by a speech-supported
programming unit, or by PC programming, as required.
The software ensures reliable and simple programming.
Each device-programming sequence is thereby
documented, and can be printed out. Remote
programming is also available if needed.
Configuration
An alarm can be triggered by the red button on the device,
the wireless pendant, or the wrist transmitter. A speech
connection is established automatically with a monitoring
center manned 24 hours a day enabling help to be
summoned rapidly and individually in an emergency.
The second and third buttons can optionally be
programmed for activity monitoring or as a service key. Via
this function it is possible to implement services which
extend beyond the pure emergency call function, such as
those which would be applicable to assisted living
facilities.
