softSS7 is an optional SS7 protocol stack that allows Dialogic

interfaces to be used in SS7 environments. With the addition of softSS7, PC- and server-based applications and services
such as voice mail, IVR, and messaging gateways that use Dialogic

Diva

boards can connect directly to the SS7 network.

softSS7 offers Message Transfer Part (MTP) and ISDN User Part (ISUP) functionality for sending and receiving calls over
digital E1 and T1 interfaces.

Because softSS7 entirely abstracts ISUP call control from the application, solution developers can use CAPI or the

API to develop applications. Consequently, all existing or new applications written for these APIs can
