Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 16.

Remove the processor fan. See "Removing the Processor Fan" on page 34.
Procedure

In sequential order (indicated on the heat sink), loosen the captive screws that
secure the heat sink to the system board.

Tilt and lift the heat sink off the computer base.
