The Behnke Group is a family-run business with more than 
35 years’ experience. The Behnke Group is a market leading 
specialist inr telecommunication solutions for door entry in 
the commercial and residential sectors as well as, emergency 
service and lift emergency communication systems.
The Behnke Group incorporates several companies under 
one banner which specialise in the development, production 
and sale of door intercoms, industrial and emergency 
phones as well as lift emergency phones.
Telefonbau Behnke GmbH is an experienced and trusted 
manufacturer of Behnke components. Telefonbau Behnke 
GmbH purchases the high-quality materials required to 
manufacture our products (for example, metal) mainly from 
regional partner companies. We believe that by producing as 
much of our product as possible ourselves, we can guarantee 
quality – which is why almost all Behnke products are made 
in our own production facility by highly qualified staff and by 
employing stringent quality control. 
The door intercoms, emergency phones and lift emergency 
phones produced by Telefonbau Behnke GmbH are sold 
throughout Europe by Telecom Behnke GmbH. The personal 
and service-oriented support provided by the employees 
of the Behnke Group guarantees fast and professional 
solutions. Customer support is enhanced by a more personal 
touch. Our “technically trained consultants visit electrical, 
telecommunications, safety, security firms, engineering 
consultancies, hospitals and universities, etc. throughout 
Germany and beyond, in order to present our diverse product 
range and match this to the customer’s specific needs. 
Behnke products are sold and distributed Europe-wide 
through the office of Télécom Behnke S.A.R.L. in Forbach/
France as well as through our sales partners in different 
European countries. 
Notrufzentrale Behnke GmbH not only offers lift emergency 
communication hardware but also services covering every 
aspect of emergency call connection.It is a trusted partner 
and consultant for the implementation of independent 
lift monitoring, especially for small and medium-sized lift 
installers. Depending on our customer’s requirements, 
the emergency lines can be monitored up to 24h hours a 
day,365 days per year by Notrufzentrale Behnke GmbH. 
Notrufzentrale Behnke GmbH naturally also employs back 
up emergency call panels which can be used in case the 
main control panel fails. At present, Notrufzentrale Behnke 
GmbH monitors and provides support for the emergency 
communications equipment in around 10,000 lifts. 
Behnke Service GmbH, with its international call centre, is a 
separate marketing company and supports the Europe-wide 
sale of Behnke products. This company acts as a conduit 
between Behnke and its worldwide distribution partners.

1980: Rolf Behnke (master telecommunications engineer) founded Tele-
fonbau Behnke GmbH in Saarbrücken. The business began by focussing 
on thesale and installation of phone systems in south-west Germany. 
1988: The business expanded to include the nationwide sale of door 
entry phones and specialist phones throughout Germany. 
1997: Notrufzentrale Behnke GmbH was founded. This business special-
ised in emergency communication components and services for lifts.
2001: Telecom Behnke GmbH was created as a sales & distribution com-
pany for the B-to-B sector Telefonbau Behnke GmbH:is grown to develop 
and produce of door entry, emergency communications and lift emer-
gency phones. New company headquarters were constructed in a new 
location, Kirkel bei Homburg (Saarland). The company was awarded the 
“Grünen Hausnummer” (green house number) by the Saarland Ministry 
of the Environment. 
Since 2001: The Behnke brand is firmly established in Germany as a 
market leader. market, Telecom Behnke GmbH has used its sales partner 
concept to gradually position itself in other European countries. 
2005: Creation of Behnke Service GmbH as the European marketing 
company. 
2007: Creation of Télécom Behnke S.A.R.L. in Forbach (France). 
2009: Start of the Premium partner concept: certification of trained 
specialist firms. 
2011: Expansion of marketing activities. 
2012: Relaunch of Notrufzentrale Behnke GmbH. 
2013: Sven Behnke takes over management of the Behnke Group
