Get more
The servers in your data center demand performance, which is significant to the success of
your business. With Crucial LRDIMM (Load-Reduced DIMM) server memory, your servers will run
stronger than ever. Servers that support LRDIMMs allow users to double the available installed
memory density per server and garner greater channel density by populating more DIMMs
per channel. Engineered to advance overall data center performance and reliability, Crucial
LRDIMMs are available in module densities up to 32GB and kits up to 96GB.
Lighten the load
LRDIMMs support up to double the installed memory density as a result of reduced loads
presented to the CPU. Because of these reduced loads, the server is able to run the memory at
a higher frequency, enabling up to a 35% increase in memory bandwidth. LRDIMMs use 1.35V
compared to traditional 1.5V that standard DDR3 RDIMMs run, making them more energy
efficient and further contributing to the reduction of power consumption in the data center.
Forward thinking
LRDIMM technology is ideal for supporting the implementation of complex technologies
such as server virtualization, cloud computing, and other HPC (high performance computing)
applications. Additionally, Crucial LRDIMMs will fully support Intel’s next-generation Xeon
®
processor E5 family.
