The 8060 is a high performance torch for use by professionals. 

This torch comes equipped with a high output LED pre-focused lamp 

module that emits a strong tight beam of white light. There is no need to 

focus the 8060. 
DO NOT SHINE THIS TORCH DIRECTLY INTO ANY 

PERSON’S EYES: THIS MAY RESULT IN INJURY. 
Your 8060 battery pack comes to you partially charged and 

will need to be charged for at least 24 hours prior to use. 

After repeated charge - discharge cycles, the NiMH battery stick will no longer 

hold a charge and must be replaced. The battery stick is available at any location 

where Peli torches are sold or directly from Peli Products, Inc. 

To replace the battery stick:

1.   Unscrew the rear battery cap.

2.   Remove the old battery stick.

3.    Install new battery stick with the positive end (+) first.

4.   Replace the battery cap.

NOTE:     Please act responsibly when disposing of the NiMH Battery Stick. This part is recyclable and  

should not be disposed of in the municipal waste system. Please check with your local waste  
disposal authority for information.

The charger is capable of charging the battery pack in under 5 hours.  

The LED Charge Lights will indicate where the battery is in the charge  

cycle as follows:
Solid Red    

The 8060 will need to run through several charge/discharge cycles before  

achieving maximum lamp burn-time (approximately 6 hours). There is no need  

to fully discharge the 8060 before charging the battery. Charging can occur  

whenever required and the 8060 can be left indefinitely in the charger housing 

without fear of over-charging.
To Charge:

1.   Turn off the 8060.
2.     Snap the 8060 into the arms of the charger with the switch facing  

towards you and the round charger contacts engage with the 8060  

contacts. The LED will turn from a SOLID RED to a FLASHING RED to  

indicate the fast charging cycle.

3.    When the LED turns SOLID GREEN the battery pack is fully charged.

NOTE:    A flashing green LED indicates a charging problem. Remove the torch from the  

charger and clean the charging contacts. If the problem persists, please return  
the torch for warranty related repair.

1.    Rotate the charger so that the base is facing towards you.

2.     Take the right angled plug from the power transformer and push the metal end 

into the socket (the transformer socket is located in a pocket in the base). You 

may need to use a small flat screwdriver to gently guide the plug into the socket. 

3.    Feed the cord into the channel leading from the pocket.

Gently press down on the switch cover and the 8060 will operate until  

pressure is released.

Firmly press down on the switch cover until a “click” is heard and the 8060 will 

operate. Press down on the switch again to turn off the 8060.

The 8060 battery pack will only reach maximum capacity after a number of charge/

discharge cycles have occurred.

Do not operate your 8060 torch beyond the point where the lamp becomes dim. 

Operating beyond this point will damage the battery cells and shorten their life.

Do not over discharge your torch in an attempt to reduce a  

“memory” condition. 

This practice is unnecessary as modern NiMH batteries, when used in  

flashlights such as the 8060, are highly unlikely to develop this condition. In addi-

tion, deep discharging of the batteries may cause the batteries to vent potentially 

dangerous gases and electrolytes.

The 8060 charger base can be permanently mounted in most positions except 

upside-down in vehicles. Two mounting holes are provided to enable attachment 

using #10 screws. The AC/DC power transformer must be connected before the 

charger can be mounted (see above).

The 8060 charger can be permanently installed in most vehicles and this operation 

should be performed by a professional auto technician. The charger should not be 

installed upside down since certain conditions may cause the 8060 to be ejected 

from the charger. When installing the charger, ensure that the Direct Wiring Rig is 

connected to an ignition key-switched line. The high amperage draw of this charger 

may drain the vehicle’s battery if connected directly to the battery.

Check closely for cuts, scratches, or otherwise damaged O-ring or mating lens  

lip surface. Remove any dirt or foreign matter from O-ring sealing surfaces.  

Keep threads, O-ring groove and inside lip of lens lubricated with silicone grease.

La 8060 es una linterna de alto rendimiento para uso profesional. Esta linterna 

está equipada de una lámpara de LED de gran capacidad que emite un intenso 

haz de luz blanca concentrado. No es necesario enfocar con la 8060.

El juego de pilas de la 8060 está parcialmente cargado y será necesario cargarlas 

durante al menos 24 horas antes de utilizar la linterna.

Tras diversos ciclos de carga y descarga, las pilas NiMH quedarán sin carga y 

deberán cambiarse. Las pilas pueden adquirirse en cualquier establecimiento 

que comercialice linternas Peli, o directamente en Peli Products. Siga los pasos 

siguientes para cambiar las pilas:

1.  Afloje la tapa del compartimento de las pilas de la parte trasera.

2.  Retire las pilas agotadas.

3.  Introduzca las pilas nuevas colocando en primer lugar el polo positivo (+).

4.  Coloque de nuevo la tapa del compartimento de las pilas.

NOTA:   actúe con responsabilidad cuando deseche las pilas NiMH. Estas pilas son reciclables 

y no deben desecharse  en el sistema de eliminación de residuos municipal. Solicite 
información al organismo local responsable de la eliminación de residuos.

El cargador puede cargar las pilas durante 5 horas. Los LED de carga indicarán el 

estado del ciclo de carga de acuerdo con las siguientes luces:

La 8060 deberá llevar a cabo diversos ciclos de carga y descarga para que la 

lámpara alcance el máximo tiempo de encendido (aproximadamente 6 horas).  

No es necesario descargar completamente la 8060 antes de cargar las pilas.  

Las pilas pueden cargarse en el momento que sea necesario y la 8060 puede 

dejarse indefinidamente en el cargador sin peligro de sobrecarga.

1.   Apague la 8060.
2.    Coloque la 8060 en los brazos del cargador de manera que el interruptor esté 

orientado hacia usted y los contactos redondos del cargador encajen con los 

contactos de la 8060. El LED pasará de ROJO VIVO a ROJO INTERMITENTE, 

lo cual indica el ciclo de carga.

3.    Cuando el LED se ilumine de color VERDE VIVO indicará que el juego de pilas 

está cargado completamente.

NOTA:    la luz verde intermitente del LED indica un problema de carga. Retire la linterna del 

cargador y limpie los contactos de carga. Si el problema persiste, devuelva la linterna 
para su reparación en garantía.

Den Schalter bis zu einem hörbaren Klick durchdrücken. Damit wird die 8060 in 

Betrieb gesetzt. Den Schalter erneut drücken, um die 8060 auszuschalten.

Der Batteriepack der 8060 muss mehrere Lade-/Entladezyklen durchlaufen, bevor 

seine Maximalkapazität erreicht wird.
•   Sobald die Lampe ein schwaches Licht erzeugt, darf die 8060 nicht mehr in 

Betrieb genommen werden. Anderenfalls werden die Batterien beschädigt und 

ihre Lebensdauer verkürzt sich.

•   Die Batterien der Taschenlampe dürfen nicht mit der Absicht tiefentladen 

werden, einen “Memoryeffekt“ zu verringern.

Dieser Vorgang ist unnötig, da das Auftreten dieses Effekts bei modernen NiMH-

Batterien, wie sie in Taschenlampen wie der 8060 verwendet werden, höchst 

unwahrscheinlich ist.

Außerdem kann ein Tiefentladen der Batterien dazu führen, dass diese gefährliche 

Gase und Elektrolyte freisetzen.

Die Ladestation der 8060 kann in den meisten Positionen fest montiert werden, 

außer kopfüber in Fahrzeugen. Es sind zwei Montagebohrungen vorhanden zur 

Befestigung mit #10-Schrauben. Das AC/DC-Netzgerät muss vor der Montage des 

Ladegeräts angeschlossen werden (siehe oben).

Das Ladegerät der 8060 kann in den meisten Fahrzeugen fest montiert werden. Der 

Einbau sollte jedoch von einem qualifizierten Fahrzeugtechniker vorgenommen werden.

Das Ladegerät darf nicht kopfüber montiert werden, da die 8060 unter bestimmten 

Umständen aus dem Ladegerät fallen könnte. Bei der Montage des Ladegeräts 

muss sichergestellt werden, dass die Direktverkabelung über Zündung geschaltet 

wird. Der hohe Stromverbrauch dieses Ladegeräts könnte die Fahrzeugbatterie bei 

direktem Anschluss an die Batterie entladen.

Überprüfen Sie den O-Ring und die Dichtfläche des Linsenrandes genau auf 

Schnitte, Kratzer oder andere Beschädigungen. Schmutz oder Fremdstoffe müs-

sen von den O-Ring-Dichtflächen entfernt werden. Die Gewinde, die Nut des 

O-Rings und der Innenrand der Linse müssen mit Silikonfett eingefettet werden.
