Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
Replacing/Inserting the Saw Blade
f
When mounting the saw blade, wear protec-
tive gloves.
Danger of injury when touching
the saw blade.
Selecting a Saw Blade
An overview of recommended saw blades can
be found at the end of these instructions. Use
only T-shank saw blades. The saw blade should
not be longer than required for the intended cut.
Use a thin saw blade for narrow curve cuts.
Inserting the Saw Blade (see figure A1)
If required, remove the dust cover 10 (see “Dust
Cover”).
Insert the saw blade 19 (teeth in cutting direc-
tion) into the stroke rod 16 until it latches. The
SDS lever 17 automatically snaps to the rear and
the saw blade is locked. Do not manually press
the lever 17 toward the rear, otherwise you
could damage the machine.
While inserting the saw blade, pay attention that
the back of the saw blade is positioned in the
groove of the guide roller 18.
f
Check the tight seating of the saw blade.
loose saw blade can fall out and lead to inju-
ries.
Ejecting the Saw Blade (see figure A2)
f
When ejecting the saw blade, hold the ma-
chine in such a manner that no persons or
animals can be injured by the ejected saw
blade.
Turn the SDS lever 17 forward towards the con-
tact protector 20 to the stop. The saw blade is
released and ejected.
Saw Blade Storage (PST 900 PEL)
(see figure B)
Up to six saw blades with lengths to 110 mm
can be stored in the saw blade storage 21. In-
sert the saw blades with the T-shank into the re-
cess of the saw blade storage intended for this.
Up to three saw blades can be placed on top of
each other.
Shut the saw blade storage and slide it to the
stop into the opening of the base plate 7.
Sliding Shoe (PST 1000 PEL)
When working surfaces that are easily
scratched, the sliding shoe 11 can be attached
onto the base plate 7 in order to prevent the sur-
face from being scratched.
To attach the sliding shoe 11, insert it at the
front of the base plate 7, push the rear part up-
ward and allow it to latch.
Splinter Guard
The splinter guard 22 (accessory) can prevent
fraying of the surface while sawing wood. The
splinter guard can only be used for certain saw
blade types and only for cutting angles of 0°.
When sawing with the splinter guard, the base
plate 7 must not be moved back for cuts that are
close to the edge.
Press the splinter guard 22 from the bottom into
the base plate 7.
PST 1000 PEL (see figure C): When using the
sliding shoe 11, the splinter guard 22 is not in-
serted into the base plate 7, but into the sliding
shoe.
“Cut Control”
“Cut Control” enables precise guiding of the
power tool along a cutting line marked on the
workpiece. The “Cut Control” kit includes the
viewing window 12 with cutting marks and the
base 13 for attachment to the power tool.
