Congratulations on your purchase of this wireless doormat alarm. 
The wireless mat is a unique and unobtrusive door chime. On top of 
that, installing is a breeze as it’s wireless – other than changing the 
batteries on occasion, it’s practically maintenance free!
Included in the kit is the wireless pressure sensitive mat, as well as a 
more conventional wireless doorbell – you can use one, the other, or 
both depending on your needs. You could use them on the same 
door if you wish, or you can split them between two different 
entrances, provided that you can place the chime itself in a central 
position.

To mount the alarm/chime unit, you’ll need the following tools:
•   A screwdriver
•  A drill (for hardwood or masonry)

The Chime Unit
1.  Screw the supplied mounting screws into the wall you want to 

mount the chime unit on. Leave approximately 1/8” (3-4mm) of 
the screw protruding. If necessary, drill holes for the screws and/
or use wall plugs.

2.  Insert the protruding screw ends into the mounting holes on the 

rear of the chime unit.

3.  Move the chime unit downwards to lock the screw ends in place.
4.  The chime unit can also be used free standing (portable).

The Mat
1.  The mat should be inserted underneath a doormat or carpet, 

somewhere that a person entering the area you want to protect 
would have to step.

2.  Exercise some care whilst positioning the battery compartment. 

The case on the battery compartment is pretty tough, but will 
eventually break if left underfoot.

3.  The chime unit itself can be mounted anywhere within approxima-

tely 30ft (10m) of the mat.

The Doorbell
1.  Remove the rear plate of the doorbell.
2.  Screw the rear plate to the wall or doorframe using the two screw 

holes. If you’re mounting the doorbell on glass or metal, then you 
could use strong double-sided tape or glue – just be sure that you 
can still open the doorbell to change the batteries.

Transmission Range
The reliable range of the mat’s transmission will vary based on your 
environment. Under ideal conditions (such as an open environment 
where the mat has a direct line of sight to the alarm unit, where there 
is little or no radio “noise”) the signal will travel up to 100ft (30m).
Conversely, a densely packed environment (such as brick, concrete 
or metal) with other wireless devices operating can reduce the range 
of the signal to 20ft (6m) or less.

Ideally, you should mount the Chime Unit at an equal distance from 
the wireless mat and the wireless doorbell, as close as possible to both.

Changing Batteries
Each of the three devices – the mat, the doorbell and the chime unit 
– are powered by batteries.
The mat and the doorbell each require a 12V 23A battery.
The chime unit requires 3x AA cells (for a total of 4.5V).

Gefeliciteerd met uw aankoop van dit draadloze deurmat-alarm. De 
draadloze mat is een unieke en discrete deurbel. Daarnaast is de 
installatie simpel aangezien het draadloos is – naast het af en toe  
vervangen van de batterijen is het alarm nagenoeg onderhoudsvrij!
Meegeleverd in het pakket is de draadloze drukgevoelige mat en een 
meer traditionele draadloze deurbel – naargelang uw behoeften kunt 
u de ene of de andere of allebei gebruiken. U kunt deze, indien 
gewenst, op dezelfde deur gebruiken of u kunt ze opsplitsen tussen 
twee verschillende ingangen, op voorwaarde dat u de geluidseenheid 
in een centrale positie kunt plaatsen.

Om het alarm/de bel te monteren heeft u het volgende gereedschap 
nodig:
•  Een schroevendraaier
•  Een boor (voor hardhout of steen)

De geluidseenheid
1.  Schroef de meegeleverde montageschroeven in de muur waarop 

u de geluidseenheid wilt monteren. Laat ongeveer 1/8” (3 – 4 mm) 
van de schroef uitsteken. Boor, indien nodig, gaten voor de 
schroeven en/of gebruik muurpluggen.

2.  Steek de uitstekende schroefuiteinden in de montagegaten aan 

de achterkant van de geluidseenheid.

3.  Beweeg de beleenheid naar beneden om de schroefuiteinden vast 

te zetten.

4.  De geluidseenheid kan ook neergezet worden.

De mat 
1.  De mat moet onder een deurmat of tapijt geschoven worden op 

een plaats waar een persoon die de zone die u wilt beveiligen 
betreedt zeker zal stappen.

2.  Let op waar u het batterijvak plaatst. Hoewel de omkasting nogal 

stevig is, zal hij uiteindelijk kapot gaan als hij in het looppad ligt.

3.  De geluidseenheid zelf kan overal gemonteerd worden binnen een 

zone van ongeveer 30 voet (10 meter) van de mat.

De deurbel
1.  Verwijder de achterste plaat van de deurbel.
2.  Schroef de achterste plaat op de muur of deurkozijn door middel 

van de twee schroefgaten. Als u de deurbel op glas of metaal 
monteert, kunt u sterke dubbelzijdige tape of lijm gebruiken – zorg 
er wel voor dat u de deurbel nog kunt openen om de batterijen te 
vervangen.

Zendingsbereik
Het bereik van de geluidseenheid verschilt naargelang de omgeving. 
Onder ideale omstandigheden (zoals een open omgeving waar er 
weinig of geen radio-“storing” is) gaat het signaal tot 100 voet (30 
meter) ver.

Een dichte omgeving (zoals stenen, beton of metaal) daarentegen 
met andere draadloze toestellen kan het bereik van het signaal 
verminderen tot 20 voet (6 meter) of minder.
Idealiter monteert u de geluidseenheid op een gelijke afstand van de 
draadloze mat en de draadloze deurbel, zo dicht mogelijk bij beiden.

Batterijen vervangen
Elk van de drie toestellen – de mat, deurbel en geluidseenheid –  
werken op batterijen.

Changing the Chime Tone
You can set the chime unit to emit one sound when the doorbell is 
pressed, and a different tone when someone steps on the mat. This 
is useful if you use the mat and the doorbell for different entrances 
– each one can have it’s own sound!

DIP Switches and Jumper Settings
Jumpers control the wireless frequency which the doorbell and mat 
use to communicate with the chime unit. For the system to function  
correctly, the mat, doorbell and chime unit must have the same 
arrangement of jumpers. The default configuration is for all jumpers 
to be closed (that is, they have the black clip attached).

The DIP switches change the tone which the Chime Unit will sound 
when the mat or doorbell is triggered. The sounds that you can 
choose from, and the arrangement of switches to access them are:

To access the battery compartment, jumper pins and DIP 
switches of the Wireless Mat control unit:
1.  Remove the Wireless Mat control module from the small pouch.
2.  Insert a screwdriver or similar into the locking tab on the top of 

the doorbell casing, and press down to release the locking tab.

3.  The battery is located at the base of the control module. The 

jumper pins and the DIP switches are located immediately above.

switches and battery are located within.

De mat en de deurbel hebben elk een 12V 23A batterij nodig.

De beltoon veranderen
U kunt de geluidseenheid instellen zodat deze één geluid laat horen 
als de deurbel wordt ingedrukt en een andere toon als er iemand op 
de mat stapt. Dit is handig als u gebruik maakt van de mat en de 
deurbel voor verschillende ingangen – zo kunnen ze elk hun eigen 
geluid hebben!

DIP-schakelaars en jumperpinnen
Jumpers beheren de draadloze frequentie die de deurbel en mat 
gebruiken om te communiceren met de geluidseenheid. Om het 
systeem juist te laten werken, moeten de mat, deurbel en  
geluidseenheid dezelfde instelling hebben voor de jumpers. De 
standaardinstelling voor alle jumpers is gesloten (dit wil zeggen dat 
ze de achterclipjes bevestigd hebben).

De DIP-schakelaars veranderen de toon die de geluidseenheid zal 
laten horen als de mat of deurbel wordt geactiveerd. De geluiden 
waaruit u kunt kiezen en de bijbehorende instelling van de schake-
laars zijn de volgende:

Om toegang te krijgen tot het batterijvak, de jumperpinnen en de 
DIP-schakelaars van de bedieningseenheid van de draadloze mat:
1.  Verwijder de bedieningseenheid van de draadloze mat uit het 

zakje.

2.  Steek een schroevendraaier of iets gelijkaardigs in de sluitingstab 

bovenop de behuizing en duw naar beneden om de eenheid te 
openen.

3.  De batterij bevindt zich op de basis van de bedieningseenheid.  

De jumperpinnen en de DIP-schakelaars bevinden zich  
onmiddellijk daarboven.

1.  Steek een schroevendraaier of iets gelijkaardigs in de sluitingstab 

bovenop de behuizing van de deurbel en duw naar beneden om 
de deurbel te openen.

2.  De jumpers, DIP-schakelaars en batterij bevinden zich hierin.

1.  Open het deksel van het vak voor batterijen en jumpers aan de 

achterkant van de geluidseenheid.

2.  De jumperpinnen bevinden zich boven het batterijvak.
