9. START-UP
a) Outdoor Sensor
Open the battery compartment on the outdoor sensor’s rear by pushing the
battery compartment lid (23) downwards.
(
Check the switch (21) for the transmission channel.
If you use only a single outdoor sensor, set the slider to position “1”
(channel 1).
A second or third outdoor sensor (available as accessories) must be set for
channels 2 or 3. Use a separate channel number for each of the up to three
outdoor sensors!
After selecting the transmission channel, insert two type AA/mignon batteries
into the outdoor sensor battery compartment (22) with correct polarity (observe
plus/+ and minus/-).
If you want to switch the transmission channel, remove the batteries first.
Otherwise, the outdoor sensor will not recognise that the transmission
channel was switched!
Close the battery compartment again.
The outdoor sensor can be suspended by a nail, hook or screw using the wall
mounting hole (20).
With the flattened bottom of the battery compartment lid (23), the outdoor
sensor can also be set up on a level surface.
Ensure that the outdoor sensor will not fall down; this would cause damage.
(
The outdoor sensor is suitable to be used in a protected outdoor area. It
should be placed so that it is not subject to direct solar irradiation or rain/
snow, because measured values may otherwise be incorrect.
Also observe the chapter “14. Transmission Range” for setting up the outdoor
sensor and weather station.
Never immerse or submerge the outdoor sensor in water; it would be
destroyed!
