2. INTENDED USE
The NPI series inverters have been manufactured using state of the art technology. The devices fulfil the
requirements of the applicable European and National specifications and can be used in public roads
access situations (StVzO).  Conformity has been established and the relevant statements and docu-
ments are held by the manufacturer. To maintain this status and to ensure risk-free operation, the user
must comply with the following operating instructions.
Depending on the model, the inverters create a pure sine-like 230 V alternating current from either 12 or
24 V direct current supply.  This allows the connection of any 230 V end device to 12/24 V supplies such
as cars, boats, other motorised vehicles or solar panels in your holiday home or when camping. Due to the
high peak load, the absolutely pure output voltage and the high degree of efficiency, you can also fault-
lessly operate devices with combinational circuit power packs or electronic engines.
The maximum output of the 230 V end device is indicated in the technical data (permanent output). The
modified, sine-like output voltage can cause increased heating of some devices.  Devices with a higher
power consumption than the stated permanent output should not be connected. When connecting
devices with electric drives (e.g. power drills, refrigerators, etc.), please note that these may require a
higher startup power than indicated on the type plate.
Operation is only permitted in a dry environment; contact with humidity must be avoided at all times.
Fittings
- Automatic cutout at low voltage to protect battery
- Excess voltage cutout
- Overload and short circuit protected with automatic restart
- Remote controllable
- Above 300W load dependent ventilator cooling
Operation under adverse environmental conditions is not permitted. Adverse ambient conditions include:
- moistness or excess air humidity
- dust and combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- electrical storms or stormy conditions resulting in strong electrostatic fields, etc.
Any use other than that described above will damage the product and may involve other risks, such as
short-circuit, fire, electric shock. Do not change or modify any part of the product.
The safety instructions must be observed.
