Never switch the device on immediately after having taken it from a cold to a warm environment. Under
adverse conditions, the resulting condensation could destroy the device. Allow the device to reach room
temperature before switching it on.
As the inverter generates heat while operating, ensure that it is adequately ventilated. Do not cover the
ventilation apertures of the device!
Do not leave the inverter and connected consumer devices in operation unattended.
Ensure sufficient ventilation of the inverter and the batteries. The inverter can cause battery vapours to ignite.
Therefore, the battery and the inverter must be installed in separate rooms.
Do not connect the 230 V outlet of the inverter with another 230 V source.
The inverter is not approved for use on people or animals nor is it approved for the operation of medical
life-support devices.
Never expose the device to mechanical stress. Dropping the device even from a low height may damage
it! Avoid vibrations and direct sunlight.
If you have reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immediate-
ly and secure it against being operated unintentionally. It can be assumed that safe operation is no
longer possible if:
- the device shows visible damage,
- it does not function any longer and
- after it was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- after it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
You should also heed the additional safety instructions in each chapter of these operating instructions as
well as in the operating instructions of the connected devices.
The parts of the inverter still carry voltage after the fuse is triggered/blows!
Damaged connection cables must be exchanged to prevent hazards. Only use suitable connection
cables for the input voltage (see technical data).
Do not use the device if it shows visible damage.
Repairs to this device may only be carried out by experts! Improper repairs may result in substantial haz-
ards. In case of repairs, contact our service department.
Make sure that ventilation slots are not covered up.
When using the device in vehicles, secure/mount it properly to ensure correct operation of the vehicle.
Prior to activating the device, make sure that the cable and plug are dry. Never operate the device with
wet hands.
