The Atomic has been designed for medium to strong winds in
order to cope with fresh sea breezes extremely well. The Atomic
is very well equipped and gives immediate fun at a very attractive
price. With this kite, beginners and advanced pilots will be fully
satisfied. Basic tricks can be easily learned with the Atomic at
medium wind speeds. With a fresher wind, it is just fun to feel the
pull which, however, can always be controlled. Collapsible leading
edges allow an easy reduction of the kite – so the Atomic beco-
mes the ideal travelling partner. At lower wind speeds, the Atomic
flies very silently. At higher wind speeds, it gets a bit louder, but
without becoming unpleasant.
Leading Edge Assembly
Assembly and taking apart of the leading edge is simple, due to
easy access of the ferrules. The ferrule is fixed permanently to
the upper leading edge rod. The lower end is easily inserted into
the open end of the ferrule using just little force. Make sure the
rod is inserted right up to the stop (see fig.1).
The thin white loop of string has to be placed over the split cap
to tension the trailing edge (see fig.2.) If the trailing edge is not
tensioned via this way, the kite will make buzzing sound at higher
wind speeds. Afterwards the leading edge has to be tensioned
with help of the short piece of tensioning string at the top.
Tips
In order to avoid lower spreader breakages, make sure that the
solid ends of the rods are inserted into the centre cross.
